Having recently been named the Chief Learning Officer of SYKES, my perspective – not to mention my responsibilities! – have significantly widened. SYKES is indeed a global enterprise, with more than 70 centers in 20 countries. Founded in 1977 as an organization of dedicated “people serving people with excellence,” SYKES’ global community of nearly 50,000 spans many geographies, languages, and cultures.
But as I’ve begun traveling to and meeting the many diverse people that together compose the SYKES community, I’ve found many more commonalities than differences. And nowhere was that more crystal clear than during a recent trip to our colleagues in Manila. Last October, Carl Puccio (VP Talent Management), Robbie Conaway (Creative Director), and I had the good fortune to visit our Manila sites and get to know our APAC Learning & Development team.
Words alone can’t describe our experience or how impressed we were with the operation, people, and culture of learning.
So instead, we made a video.
Here’s our “video-thank-you” to the entire Manila team for being such wonderful hosts!
